Construction company Rougeot has been appointed to work on the Cité des Vins et des Climats de Bourgogne in Beaune.

The Cité des Vins et des Climats de Bourgogne network is taking shape with the appointment of the team charged with the design and build of the Cité des Vins et des Climats de Bourgogne in Beaune.

Following a call for tenders from the City of Beaune, the Rougeot construction company was appointed in partnership with [siz’-ix] architects.
The jury was won over by the group’s proposition and approach:

  • A landscaped building integrated within a 10-hectare tree-filled park
  • An innovative construction inspired by the tendrils of the vine
  • A building that is a beacon, reaching up 21 meters
  • An environmentally friendly commitment and the use of noble materials

The winning team will now be working in close cooperation with the BIVB, the museographer, and the Association des Climats, in particular on the content of the visitor experience.
The architectural approach for the future Cité will be unveiled in greater detail at the Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction.

Join us mid-November to find out more about this cultural tourism structure that will be showcasing the Bourgogne region, its wines, and its Climats!
