Ministerial visit to Chablis

On Tuesday 20 July, the BIVB in Chablis welcomed Mr Franck Riester, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Attractiveness, Mr Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Secretary of State for Tourism, and Mr Guillaume Gomez, former head chef at the Elysée Palace and now personal representative of President Emmanuel Macron, in order to promote French gastronomy in France and in the world.

These three politicians wanted to support the wine industry by discussing exports, sustainable development and the recovery plan with professionals from the sector. Wine tourism was also discussed with a presentation of the Cité des vins et des Climats de Bourgogne by its director, Olivier Le Roy.

This meeting was rounded off by a visit to the winery of La Chablisienne and a tasting of a bottle of Château Grenouilles Grand Cru. A great way to promote the Chablis region and its wines!
