Cité in Chablis: A second life for the Petit Pontigny cedar

24 Septembrer 2021

Present for years in the heart of Petit Pontigny, the large cedar has been cut down for the needs of the construction site and the happiness of bees and insects.

An unusual new life for the Petit Pontigny cedar!

Felled this Friday for the needs of the future Cité des vins et des Climats de Bourgogne in Chablis, the cedar tree installed in the courtyard of Petit Pontigny will be reused by a local resident, a biodiversity enthusiast, to create new hives and shelters for bees and insects.

An unusual new item relayed by the journalist Lydia Berthomieu in the newspaper pages of L'Yonne Républicaine, on Sunday September 26, and on the Internet. A french article that you can consult from the following link: DU VIN AUX RUCHES
